This 8” Singh Daap Traditional Engraved Decorative Khukuri | Handmade Knife has a 8-inch blade made from highly graded carbon steel with a polished finish running through the handle, making it super handy. The handle has a decorative design that makes the handle unique from others. There is a 4.75-inch long rat-tail tang handle made from water buffalo horn, water buffalo bone, and brass.

 

The handmade blade’s spine is 5 mm thick, and the belly is 4.7 cm wide. The scabbard, made from brass & water buffalo horn, further exemplifies the attention to detail and craftsmanship of this kukri knife. The scabbard features intricate brass inlays of various insignias. The flower insignia is of Rhododendron, which is the national flower of Nepal.

 

The insignia of fish represents one of the avatars of god Vishnu in Sanaatan dharma. The insignia of the bird is that of Lophophorus which is the national bird of Nepal. And the insignia closest to the mouth of the scabbard is of the royal crown worn by the Kings of Nepal. These beautiful insignias add a unique artistic touch to the overall khukuri.This khukuri weighs 340 grams and 480 grams with the scabbard making it extremely lightweight to carry.
