The 8” Nepali Army Khukuri | Kukri is a special type of knife that Nepalese soldiers carry both in the battlefields and in everyday life. It’s not just a weapon but a symbol of the courage and bravery of the soldiers who use it. The Kukri is an important part of the Nepal Army’s tools and tradition. Soldiers use this Kukri not only in battle but also for other tasks like chopping wood, cutting bones, or clearing bushes.

This 8” Nepali Army Khukuri | Kukri has an 8-inch blade made from high-quality 5160 carbon steel with a shiny finish. The handle is 4.5 inches long and made from Buffalo horn, which is known for being strong and beautiful. The handle is designed to fit comfortably in your hand and protect you from the super sharp blade while you use it. The brass bolster called the Kanzo, adds extra strength and makes the Kukri stand out.

8” Nepali Army Khukuri | Kukri is about 14.5 inches long in total, and it has a 4.3 inch wide belly. The blade is thick, with an upper spine of 6 mm and a lower spine of 3 mm. Because it’s made from high-carbon steel, it’s easy to sharpen and the blade retains the sharpness very well even after heavy use.

To keep and carry the kukri knife safely it comes with a scabbard made from Uttish wood (Alnus nepalensis) designed with brass metal. This scabbard not only protects the knife but also makes it look even better. If you prefer, you can choose a full tang handle instead of the rat tail tang design with the provided option when you add this item to your cart.

The scabbard has two pockets on the back. One pocket holds a blunt steel tool called a “Chakmak,” which is used for sharpening the blade or making sparks with a flint. The other pocket holds a small sharp knife called a “Karda,” which is useful for things like skinning animals, opening cans, cutting paper, or peeling small fruits and vegetables. You can even customize the Karda and Chakmak to fit your needs by selecting an option when you order. This Kukri makes a great gift for someone special and is popular with outdoor adventurers and survivalists. When you buy a Kukri from Nepal Hand Crafted, you can feel secure knowing it’s covered by our 100% Refund Policy.
