13.5″ Kumbhakarna 2 Fuller Khukuri | Machete Kukri Knife is a testament to traditional Nepalese blacksmiths’ artistry and craftsmanship. This heavy hand-forged kukri knife, with its fuller design, is a dependable tool for various outdoor activities. The name “Kumbhakarna” likely comes from the Hindu religion. In Indian history and the Hindu epic Ramayana, Kumbhakarna, the powerful rakshasa (devil) who was a younger brother of Ravana, lived some 7000 years ago. The kukri surpasses the size of a standard one, enabling it to tackle bigger tasks such as cutting down big trees and handling tough jobs effectively. It serves as a versatile tool, capable of performing all the tasks typically undertaken by a machete.

The 13.5″ Kumbhakarna 2 Fuller Khukuri | Machete Kukri Knife is made for exceptional performance and heavy duty cutting & chopping. This kukri has a 13.5-inch blade which is made from 5160 high-carbon steel. This machete kukri is handmade by skilled craftsmen known as “Bishwakarmas” in Nepal, who have inherited the art of khukuri making from their forefathers. These craftsmen use traditional techniques and utilize high-quality materials to ensure the durability and reliability of the knife. This Kukri has various features that enable it to excel at stabbing, lunging, and slashing motions, surpassing other knives in their effectiveness.

This 13.5″ Kumbhakarna 2 Fuller Khukuri | Machete Kukri Knife has a 6-inch handle made from rosewood (Sati Saal) with a strong rat tail tang. The Kanzo (bolster) is made from durable white metal, making it unique. The handle is designed to protect your hand from the sharp blade. If you prefer a full tang handle, you can choose that option. You also have the choice to switch the rosewood handle to bone. With a thick upper spine of 8 mm, a lower spine of 4 mm, and a 7 cm belly, this kukri provides both strength and precision.

13.5″ Kumbhakarna 2 Fuller Khukuri | Machete Kukri Knife comes with a scabbard made from Uttish wood (Alnus nepalensis) and wrapped in water buffalo leather that serves as a durable and stylish shield for the blade. The scabbard has three pockets on the back of it. The pockets hold a blunt steel called “Chakmak” that can be used for sharpening the blade or for striking spark with a flint and a small sharp knife known as “Karda” that can be used for skinning animals, opening cans, cutting paper, cutting or peeling small fruits & vegetables, etc. When you purchase a khukuri from Nepal Hand Crafted, you not only receive a tool but also a piece of mind purchase experience as all our khukuris & knives are backed by our up to 100% refund warranty. Nepal Hand Crafted is always committed to providing you with the best authentic handmade khukris from Bhojpure Khukuri Handicraft (BKH).
