The 12″ Handmade 3 Fuller Panawal Kukri | Gurkha Khukuri is more than just a tool. It’s a vessel of rich history. This khukuri is handcrafted by skilled Nepalese blacksmiths from Bhojpure Khukuri Handicraft (BKH) who have inherited their blade-forging prowess across generations.  The 12-inch long blade is made of 5160 high carbon steel for durability and resilience, with a polished finish for elegance. The total length of the Gurkha Khukuri is 17.5 inches striking a balance between compactness and reach, making it a reliable companion for outdoor activities. The blade weighs 870 gm. With an upper spine of 10 mm, a lower spine of 6 mm, and a belly of 6 inches, this kukri offers both strength and precision while using it.

This 12″ Handmade 3 Fuller Panawal Kukri | Gurkha Khukuri boasts a full tang handle for easier and more comfortable handling. It features two rosewood (Sati saal) pieces securely attached to the metal part using three metal rivets. The length of the handle is 5.5 inches. At the bottom end of the handle, we added a wrist lanyard hole where you can tie a lanyard to tie the khukuri to your hand enhancing your safety & ensuring the knife doesn’t fly away even if you lose hold of it.  The total weight of the kukri with a scabbard, Karda, and Chakmak is 1060 gm. We proudly celebrate the commitment of these blacksmiths who dedicated their lives to preserving the tradition making of hand-forged kukri.

The scabbard of the 12″ Handmade 3 Fuller Panawal Kukri | Gurkha Khukuri is made from Uttish wood (Alnus nepalensis) and wrapped in water buffalo leather that serves as a durable and stylish shield for the blade.  A Karda & a Chakmak are included with this khukuri. Karda is a sharp knife that can be used to cut fruits & vegetables, open tin cans, etc. The Chakmak is a blunt steel that can be used to hone the khukuri blade or to produce sparks for fire with fire steel or flint.
