12″ Aangkhola 2 Fuller Khukuri | Machete Kurki stands as a replica kukri, drawing inspiration from the original crafted around the early 19th century for British Gurkha officers who wielded it in numerous wars. The term “Ang” translates to “body” & “khola” translates to “to open” symbolizing the kukri’s formidable sharpness, capable of cutting open a body into two halves. This exceptional blade was fashioned by a skilled traditional blacksmith known as belonging to the Kaami tribe namely “Bishokarma”, adding a touch of artisanal craftsmanship to its historical significance.

The 12″ Aangkhola 2 Fuller Khukuri | Machete Kurki is made for exceptional performance and various tasks. This Machete kukri has a 12-inch blade which is made from 5160 high-carbon steel with a polished satin finish. The blade has an upper spine thickness of 10 mm and a lower spine of 7 mm. The kukri Knife measures approximately 17.5 inches, with a 5.8 cm belly. Skilled craftsmen in Nepal, known as “Bishwakarmas,” handcraft this Angkhola Khukuri, inheriting the age-old art of Khukuri making from their ancestors. They employ traditional techniques and premium materials to guarantee the kukri knife’s durability and reliability. This Kukri boasts a range of features that enhance its effectiveness in stabbing, lunging, and slashing motions, surpassing other knives in these regards.

This 12” Aangkhola 2 Fuller Khukuri | Machete Kurki has a 5.5-inch full tang handle, made from rosewood (Sati saal) which offers a sturdy grip for reliable handling. The kukri knife comes with a scabbard made of Uttish wood (Alnus nepalensis) and wrapped in water buffalo leather which adds both durability and style.  With the scabbard included this Machete Kukri knife weighs approximately 1010 grams.

The scabbard has a single frog which is a leather loop used to attach it to the belt. This kukri comes with two additional tools, a Karda, and a Chakmak. The Karda serves as a versatile companion, ideal for skinning animals, opening cans, and cutting fruits. Meanwhile, the Chakmak, a blunt steel, can be used to hone the blade. The Chakhmakh can even start a camping fire with a spark with the help of a flint.
