Chainpure Khukuri
The “Chainpure Khukuri” is named after a famous village in Nepal, “Chainpure”. These kukris are slimmer and lighter than other kukri knives, which makes them easier to carry and use. Instead of the regular notch that kukris have, this one has a special hole shaped like a cow’s hoof. In Nepal, cows are holy, and people believe that a cow’s hoof brings good luck.
The handle of the Chainpure kukri is also very special. It’s different from the usual kukri handles. It’s simple but looks nice. The bottom part of the handle is wider on both sides, which helps to hold it better. Instead of the regular butt cap, there’s a unique ace-shaped piece that holds the tang at the end, making the kukri durable and look different. This versatile and traditional kukri is not just for military use anymore. It has become a popular collector’s item and shows the amazing craftsmanship of Nepal.
